Group 3 Post 4- a desperate request!

So in this free write, I'm requesting any extra convocation tickets for December! As the 5th child in my family, the 6 tickets we're allowed doesn't cut it! I have a large family and they're all very important to me, so if anyone has extra tickets, I would be so appreciative if I could have them! I'll take you out for coffee even :) I was told you're not allowed to pay people for their tickets, but coffee is different, right??

Graduation is becoming this big stressful thing.  I need extra tickets, my sisters need to fly in from Florida, I need to get my sister in law and her kids down from Flagstaff on a Tuesday, and my friends from Flagstaff have to get around work and finals to come down.  It's a lot.  I had a crappy high school graduation so I really want this one to be special. I'm also looking for a venue for my party that night.  Easier said than done!

And then there's what to do after I graduate. I've found myself avoiding talking to anyone I haven't seen in a while so I don't have to answer the "what are your plans after graduation?" question.  I don't know and it's stressing me out! I'm hoping things will fall into place soon.

  1. Unfortunately I cannot help you, as I am not graduating in December. But I can kind of understand what you are going through. My brother had the same problem when he was graduating from Medical school. Because of that, just my parents went as to not make anyone unhappy/disenfranchised etc. Afterwards, we then were all able to celebrate later. I was ok with that, cause I didn't want to sit through a long boring session, lol.

  2. When I graduated with my undergraduate degree, I did the winter graduation as well. I skipped the big convocation and went just to the school graduation. There weren't any limitations on how many people we could bring and I was able to watch convocation online! We had a large party at my house the next day and I had family coming from all over as well. It's a crazy time but its important to remember that they are all there celebrating YOUR accomplishment! Enjoy it and don't let the stress of throwing a perfect event for them get in the way of experiencing this once in a lifetime event!!

    1. Unfortunately, tickets are needed for my school's graduation. They aren't requiring tickets for the big graduation but I really don't want to sit through that! I know it will all work out, its just a little stressful for the time being!

  3. I am graduating in December and as of right now I may have one extra ticket. I don't want to make you any promises but if my aunt cannot come I'll be able to give you one ticket. I am not sure how much that'll really help since you have so many people coming in but I can definitely give it to you if she doesn't come. Hope you're able to get the other extra tickets as well.
